With her baccalauréat in hand, Caroline de Maigret began a modeling career and moved to New York. Throughout her international career, she became the face of brands such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, Lancôme, and Chanel, working with renowned fashion photographers like Steven Meisel, Peter Lindbergh, and Inez & Vinoodh.

Upon returning to Paris, Caroline co-founded the indie rock label Bonus Tracks Records in 2005 with Yarol Poupaud. The label focuses on discovering and producing emerging artists, as well as creating music for film and advertising.

In 2006, their son Anton was born.

She is the co-author (alongside Audrey Diwan, Anne Berest, and Sophie Mas) of the international bestseller How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are (2014), which has been translated into 35 languages, followed in 2019 by Older But Better, But Older. In 2023, she co-wrote the restaurant guide La Traversée de Paris.

Caroline has been an ambassador for Chanel since 2013, and is also producing films for the house as a director. She has also written and co-directed videos for I-D Magazine, Vogue US, The New York Times, and the Tate Modern.

In 2024, Caroline formed a band alongside singer and musician Alexandre Diani, with whom she writes and composes. Produced by Sam Evian in his New York studio, their debut EP, featuring Soul/Lo-Fi influences, is set for release in spring 2025.
