Hailing from Tossa de Mar, a small beach town in Spain. Andres Velencoso started out when his mother and sister convinced him to join a model agency. With no expectations other than to make some money on the side while he was modeling, Andres found himself quickly travelling to Milan and Paris.
In 2001, he arrived in New York and within days everything changed, working with photographers such as Mikael Jansson, Michael Thompson, Bruce Weber, Inez and Vinoodh, Mert and Marcus & Karl Lagerfeld. Andrés has been featured in advertising for Louis Vuitton, Chanel Allure Homme Sport, Loewe, Jean Paul Gaultier, H&M, Trussardi, Zegna, GAP, Giorgio Armani, Mango, Valentino and Donna Karan.
Andres has been considered one of the most elegant models in the world and has been featured on covers for GQ, L’Officiel Hommes, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Arena Homme Plus, Hercules and ELLE. In 2018, he received the ICON Fashion Award for his entire professional career (20 years). He also received a special award as an acknowledgment to his career in his hometown, 'Tossenc d'Honor'. Other awards, ‘Best Model’ by GQ Spain Men of the Year Awards (2009), as well as Portugal (2014) and Germany.
After training as an actor, his first break arrived in 2011 as one of the main characters in ‘FIN’ (Jorge Torregrossa), alongside Clara Lago, Maribel Verdú and Daniel Grao. In 2014 he was in Summer Camp by Alberto Marini, and participates in the television series ‘B&B, de boca en boca’ for Telecinco TV channel. In 2016 he participated in Marcel Barrena's film, ‘100 Metros’ alongside Dani Rovira and Karra Elejalde, in the comedy ‘Señor, dame paciencia’ (Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo) and in the English Comedy Central series, I Live with Models. In 2017 he starred in ‘Edha’, the first series of Netlix Argentina, created, produced and directed by Daniel Burman. A year later he joins the Movistar + series ‘Velvet Collection’ in the role of Omar Ahmadi. In 2020, Andres Velencoso has announced that he will be joining Netflix’s show Elite’s cast for its 4th season.
