Milena Smit is a Spanish young actress best know for her work in “Parallel mothers” by Pedro Almodovar. She has trained as an actress with Cristina Rota and Bernard Hiller, the renowned acting coach for actors of such as Leonardo Di Caprio or Cameron Díaz.

“No matarás” by David Victori becomes her first role in a feature film, she plays Mila, the female lead in this thriller with Mario Casas as her co-star. For this project she got a nomination for Best Newcomer Actress of the year at the 35th edition of the Goya's awards. Later she got a role in the Netflix original series “ALMA”, a thriller created by Sergio G. Sánchez (El orfanato) directed by Sergio himself together with Kike Maillo. As the series hasn’t been released no details can be disclosed about this project.

She starred alongside Penélope Cruz and Aitana Sánchez Gijón in “Parallel mothers”, a film by Pedro Almodóvar that granted her a second nomination for the Goya ́s awards. With the astonishing record of only two films released and two consecutive nominations, something any other spanish actress has ever achieved.

Since then she has shot the feature films “Libélulas” by director Luc Knowles and “Tin y Tina”, a film in which she stars alongside Jaime Lorente by director Rubin Stein.

Right now, she is shooting a new Netflix series where she is the absolute lead, “Snow girl”, a story based on the successful book with the same title by Javier del Castillo.
